Give with the United Way
The Wellness Committee is excited to partner with the Albemarle Area United Way to offer staff an opportunity to give back to the community. After the month of gratitude we celebrated in November, December is the perfect time to “give back” and make a difference!
According to TalkSpace.com, giving has positive physical and mental benefits, and we encourage you to take part in this wonderful opportunity.
Why the United Way?
The United Way is a trusted partner, providing a streamlined way to donate to vetted local charities. Through payroll deductions, staff can choose to contribute via 24 automated deductions for the 2025 tax year, or make a one-time donation by check.
Packets with more information about the available charities will be distributed to each department. Many of these are local organizations you may already support, and this process makes giving even easier and more convenient.
Participation is completely voluntary—there is absolutely no obligation to participate.
If you would like to donate, please complete a donation form and return it to HR by noon on Tuesday, December 31, 2024. The first deduction will appear in the January 8, 2025 payroll.
If you have any questions about the United Way or the process, HR is here to help.

I.D. thieves are stealing more paper checks being delivered to homes. Why?
