Currituck County’s 2022-2023
Operating Budgets
Currituck County’s annual budget process takes several months of planning and evaluation before it is adopted by the Board of Commissioners in June. The purpose of this processes is to prepare a financial plan for the 2022-2023 fiscal year. The plan should be consistent with, and a reference for, the goals and objectives of the County Commissioners.
Currituck County Manager, Donald “Ike” McRee, Jr. presented County of Currituck, Tourism Development Authority and Ocean Sands Water and Sewer District budgets at the Monday, May 16, 2022 Board of Commissioners meeting.

HISTORIC COURTHOUSE RENOVATION
Currituck County will begin on Monday, April 25, 2022, a renovation project to create a new main entrance at the Historic Courthouse. The construction project is estimated to take about two months to complete.
During construction, the public should enter the Historic Courthouse through the double doors on the east side of the building, closest to the Currituck Sound. The ramp located at the rear entrance will be available for those who need it.
All visitors are encouraged to make an appointment if you need to meet with county staff.
