Currituck County residents pay an annual solid waste availability fee of $239.00 to utilize any of the county’s 8 solid waste convenience centers. Due to consistent residential growth in the Moyock community, the convenience center on Panther Landing Road receives a higher-than-average amount of traffic.  As a user of the Moyock convenience site, you know it’s busy!

The County is evaluating 3 options to reduce growth pressures and improve safety at the Moyock convenience site:

1. Implement a curbside trash and recycling collection service within the Moyock Township. This would not include Gibbs Woods. The Moyock convenience site would remain open with reduced operating hours.
2. Expand the existing Moyock site on Panther Landing Road.
3. Build a second convenience site in the Moyock area.

This survey seeks your input on the option of implementing a curbside trash and recycling collection service within the Moyock Township.

Public feedback is important because each option will require an increase in residents’ solid waste fees.
