Currituck County Board of Commissioners will conduct a public hearing at the Historic Currituck County Courthouse on Tuesday, March 2, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. and possibly take action on:

- PB 25-20 Shortcut Farms: Request for conditional rezoning of 51.7 acres from Agriculture (AG) to Conditional Single-Family Mainland (C-SFM) and Conditional General Business (C-GB) for development of a 33-lot conservation subdivision and 7.23 acres of commercial development fronting Shortcut Road, Tax Map 52, Parcel 21, Crawford Township. The property contains Airport Overlay (AO) District designation, which will remain.
- PB 26-01 Currituck Way: Request for conditional rezoning of 20.1 acres from Agriculture (AG) to Conditional Mixed Residential (C-MXR) for development of 20 residential lots, located at Foster Forbes Road, Tax Map 123, Parcels 95 and 95A, Poplar Branch Township.

Currituck County Board of Commissioners will conduct a public hearing at the Historic Currituck County Courthouse on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. and possibly take action on:

- PB 25-21 Shawboro East Ridge Solar: The applicant, Shawboro East Ridge Solar, LLC, is requesting an amendment to their existing special use permit for a solar energy facility to add and remove properties which will result in a reduction of the overall acreage. The amended acreage requested is 897.06 acres and includes the following properties located on East Ridge Road, Shawboro, Crawford Township: Tax Map 33, Parcel 27; Tax Map 34, Parcels 24K, 24N, 24P, 25C, and 25D; Tax Map 42, Parcels 15N,15P, 17, 18A, 18B, 22N, 24A, 24C, 24D, 25,26, 27, 28, 39; Tax Map 43, Parcels 10D, 10E, 21, and 22.
- PB 25-22 Pine Island Commercial: The applicant, Commercial Properties, Inc., is requesting a special use permit for a shopping center including a grocery store and contractor services. The property is owned by Turnpike Properties, LLC, and is located north of the Pine Island Fire Station and south of the Ocean Cub Center, Tax Map 127, Parcel 3M, Poplar Branch (Beach) Township.
