Meeting rooms are available for use at all of the Currituck County Libraries. There is NO FEE for using library meeting rooms, and you do not have to be a library card holder to reserve a room. Please take a moment to review our Meeting Room Policy for room use information and additional details about the meeting spaces at each branch.

NOTE:

  • All meetings must be open to the general public.
  • Meeting rooms cannot be used for selling or private functions.
  • No admission or fees may be charged for events held in the meeting room.

Meeting Room Application and Agreement

A completed application must be submitted for each date of use. Each application will be reviewed and the applicant will be contacted in regards to the status of their application. Reservations for the meeting rooms are not confirmed until the application has been approved.

  

   

Meeting Location *

The Currituck County Public Libraries provide the community with meeting rooms free of charge as part of our mission to serve the community. So that we may continue to offer this service, please note the following guidelines:

Preparing for Your Meeting

  • Please pick up the meeting room key by 6:00 p.m., Monday – Friday.
  • An organization representative will be required to sign a meeting room application and agreement before each use.
  • Please notify the library of cancellations as soon as possible so that space may be made available for others.
  • Meeting supplies may not be stored at the library.

Holding Your Meeting

  • The organization is responsible for all set up and clean up.
  • The library TV, podium, folding tables and chairs (located in the closet), and vacuum (located in the closet), are available for your use. Supplies other than the TV are for use by library staff only. Please provide your own remaining supplies.
  • The library laptop may be used if a staff member is present.
  • Food and beverages may be consumed in the meeting rooms. Alcohol is prohibited.

After Your Meeting

  • Please remove all trash and dispose of it in the dumpster.
  • Return all furnishings to their original positions. Return folding tables and chairs to the closet.
  • Vacuum.

*Please note: The organization will incur a cleaning charge if carpeting is stained during a meeting.

Please address any complaints or concerns in writing to the Currituck County Library Director.

The applicant hereby acknowledges that they have read the meeting room application and agreement and agrees to adhere to all rules and regulations governing use of the meeting room, including the loss, theft, or damage of any equipment, furnishings, etc. Any individual or organization not adhering to these rules may be denied use of the meeting rooms in the future.
