Spring 2022
Activities at Barco, Corolla & Moyock Libraries
  • 1000 Books Before Kindergarten

A self-paced program for babies, toddlers, & preschoolers that celebrates learning and the fun of sharing stories! Studies have shown that reading with your child provides exceptional opportunities for bonding and learning. Read three stories a day and you will have read over 1,000 books in a year! Any and all books count; even those favorites that are on repeat may be counted toward your grand total.

Sign up at your local Currituck County Public Library location and you will receive a reading log to track your first 100 books. For every 100-book milestone, your child will receive a small incentive and a new reading log. Once you have reached 1,000 books, your child will receive a certificate of completion and a prize!

For more information, please call your local public library branch.
