Currituck County will host a public meeting on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, to present information on the Beach Management Plan. The meeting will begin at 4:00 pm in the Outer Banks Center for Wildlife Education, 1160 Village Lane, Corolla, NC 27927.
Ken Willson of Coastal Protection Engineering will present information and updates from the county’s Shoreline Stability Study, which began in 2020 and includes annual monitoring data. This data is used in developing the Beach Management Plan.
Following this meeting, the Board of Commissioners will host a Community Meeting for the residents of Corolla. The Community Meeting will begin at 5:00 pm, in the same location.
