Every spring Currituck County Public Works organizes a Household Hazardous Waste Event, which allows citizens to get rid of waste that is not normally accepted at our facilities.

Reminders

• Cooking oil is now accepted at all sites in the tan colored cooking oil recycling container

Household Garbage

• All bagged garbage should be place in the compactor

Construction and Debris

• wood construction
• remodeling debris
• bricks
• blocks

ALL waste debris from contractors and commercial establishments is prohibited, take material to Transfer Station.
