The playground at Walnut Island Park will be closed beginning Wednesday, October 21, 2026, for a playground equipment replacement project.
The contractor is on-site and has begun removing the existing playground equipment. Installation of the new equipment will begin once the old equipment has been removed.
The project is expected to take approximately 14 days to complete, weather permitting.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to improve the playground for our community. Please avoid the playground area while work is underway.
