urrituck County homeowners with limited household income may qualify for a waiver of their annual Trash/Recycling Fee. Applications are now being accepted through Thursday, December 31, 2026.
The Trash/Recycling Fee Waiver Program provides eligible homeowners with financial relief based on household income and other qualifying requirements.
Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for the waiver, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Homeownership: You must own and occupy the home for which you are requesting the waiver.
- Household Income: Total household income must be less than $40,000.
- Income Verification: Proof of household income is required. Eligibility will be evaluated based on total household size and applicable income limits.
How to Apply
- Eligible homeowners may download the Trash/Recycling Fee Waiver Application form.
- Applications must be submitted or postmarked by Thursday, December 31, 2026.
- Annual Renewal Required -Homeowners must submit a new application each year to continue receiving the waiver. Approval in the previous year does not automatically renew eligibility.
