On October 8, 2025, the Currituck County Water Department will temporarily shut off water to the Launch Landing subdivision in order to complete a water main pipe project at the end of Launch Landing Road. Water service will be cut off at 9:30 am and is expected to remain off for 4 to 6 hours.
Residents should prepare for this interruption by storing an adequate supply of bottled water for drinking and cooking needs. Residents can also fill bathtubs or other containers with water before the cut off to use for flushing toilets.
This project will affect water customers on the following streets:
- Launch Landing Road
- Yarnes Street
- Bray View Drive
- Carlos Circle
- Water Drive
A boil water advisory will be in effect when water service is restored. Consumers should boil all water used for human consumption or use bottled water. Vigorous boiling for one minute should kill any disease-causing organisms that may be present in the water. The advisory will remain in effect until 6:00 pm on October 10th.
