The Currituck County Board of Elections is one of 53 election offices nationwide to be recognized for excellence in election administration during the 2024 presidential election year. The U.S. Election Assistance Commission named Currituck County as a Clearinghouse Award winner in the category of “I Voted” Stickers: Creative and Original “I Voted” Stickers for Small/Medium Jurisdictions.

Currituck County was one of three winners in the category, along with Harrison Township, Michigan, and Mesa County, Colorado.

The Currituck County Board of Elections held the “I Voted” sticker design contest for county residents prior to the 2024 General Election. The contest was won by Kylee Dinterman, a student at Currituck County High School. Her winning design featured a lighthouse and wild horse over a stars and stripes background. The stickers were handed out to voters at all polling locations in the county.

Congratulations to the Board of Elections!
