The YMCA will be offering reindeer games at the Currituck Family YMCA prior to the tree lighting and parade. If you time it right, you may even get to catch a glimpse of Santa!

Tree Lighting

At 6:45 p.m., gather around for the grand tree lighting ceremony in the courtyard between the Currituck Extension Center and the YMCA. Local dance troupes will perform festive holiday routines. Be sure to grab a free cup of cocoa and visit our food trucks and nonprofit vendors for festive snacks or dinner.

Parade Begins at 7:00 p.m.

The excitement continues as the holiday parade begins at 7:00 p.m. Enjoy a lineup of festive floats, colorful costumes, lively music, and dazzling lights as we kick off the holiday season together. This year’s parade theme is “America 250”. Leading the way will be the legendary Betsy Dowdy, a young hero of the American Revolution who started her heroic journey right here in Currituck County. The event will also be livestreamed for viewing from home at go.ncsu.edu/ctuckparade.
