NOTICE OF HEARING BEFORE THE CURRITUCK COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS on FY 2023-2024 Budget for Currituck County.
According to N.C. General Statute §159‑12, notice is hereby given that, during a Special Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, the Budget Officer presented the draft FY 2023-2024 Budget to the Board of Commissioners and a date was set for Public Hearing. The Public Hearing was set to take place during the Board of Commissioners Regular Meeting on Monday, June 19, 2023, which is more than 10 days from date of presentation. The Public Hearing will be held in the Board Meeting Room of the Historic Currituck Courthouse, 153 Courthouse Road, Currituck, North Carolina, at 6:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as reached, at which time any persons who wish to be heard on the budget may appear. According to N.C. General Statute §159‑13, the budget must be adopted not later than July 1, 2023.
Copies of the draft budget are available for public inspection in the office of the Clerk to the Board and online at www.CurrituckCountyNC.gov.
