Are you interested in starting your own fruit or berry plants? Maybe you’ve grown them in the past, and had no luck, or maybe you’re looking for a more bountiful harvest. If this sounds like you, or if you’re interested in fruits and berries, N.C. Cooperative Extension, Currituck County Center has the class for you.

This March, we will be offering a 3-hour, workshop where we’ll cover:

  • pruning,
  • mulching,
  • dormant season fungicide sprays,
  • site selection,
  • planting,
  • and more!

Plants covered will include:

  • peaches,
  • blueberries,
  • grapes,
  • raspberries,
  • blackberries,
  • and strawberries.

The class will be held at the Currituck County Extension Office, from 9:00 a.m. – Noon on Saturday, March 4, 2023. We will start by covering the basics for each fruit type, with pruning and planting demonstrations for most of the fruits covered.

he $5.00 class fee will cover printed handouts and demonstration plants.

Checks and cash payments can be received at the Currituck Extension Office located at 120 Community Way Barco, NC 27917, within 5 days of registration.
