Join us for this free hands-on presentation, taught by Currituck County Master GardenerSM Volunteer Joanna Wyckoff, on Thursday, March 21, 2024, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the North Carolina Cooperative Extension Currituck County Center.
During this class, each student will be taught how to create a functional, landscape design plan for their garden, yard, or homestead. No previous experience, skills, or expensive tools required! The topics that will be covered are:
- site analysis/site inventory,
- basic design principles/applications,
- site-specific design desires, and requirements,
- basic drafting tools/techniques,
- creating a blueprint,
- hardscape/soft scape selection,
- plant material selection (“right plant, right place“),
- seasonal considerations,
- and maintenance requirements.
