Take your cooking to the next level by ensuring you can safely preserve food with our Food Preservation Classes. With our tested and safe methods, you’ll gain the skills and confidence to preserve food with ease. Join us from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. for a hands-on food preservation experience.

Another great way to make produce shelf-stable is to dehydrate it! Learn how to prep items, use a dehydrator, and experiment with other ways to dehydrate products for those who may not have a dehydrator.
You’ll practice your techniques by preparing several different items to be dehydrated.

We are accepting cash and check payments in addition to paying via credit card through Eventbrite. Please, make checks payable to NCSU. Checks and cash payments can be received at the Currituck Extension Office located at 120 Community Way, Barco, North Carolina 27917, within 5 days of registration.
