Conquer your kitchen this autumn and stop letting dense winter produce intimidate you! Join our upcoming hands-on Fall Harvest Cooking Class, designed specifically for adults who want to master the art of prepping and cooking hearty autumn vegetables. In this cozy, interactive workshop, you will learn critical knife safety skills to safely peel, split, and dice stubborn squashes, alongside the proper cooking techniques needed to bring out their naturally rich flavors.
Beyond sharpening your culinary skills, you’ll discover how easily these vibrant ingredients can pack a powerful punch of essential vitamins and fiber into your daily diet. Best of all, the session wraps up with a delicious taste-testing finale, where you’ll sample a variety of seasonal recipes and leave inspired to recreate healthy, comforting fall feasts at home.
Class will be held on Friday, October 16, 2026 from 5:30-7:00 p.m. at the Currituck Extension office. Tickets can be purchased for $10 each and you will have the opportunity to bring home some of the produce you process in class.
