The Currituck County Board of Commissioners is accepting applications from residents of District 5 (see map) who are interested in being considered for a temporary appointment to the Board of Commissioners during the leave of absence of Commissioner J. Owen Etheridge. The appointment will run concurrently with the approved leave period and is expected to end on January 1, 2026.

To be eligible, applicants must:

  • Reside in District 5 (see map)
  • Be a registered voter in Currituck County
  • Submit a completed application by 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, October ,15, 2025
