It is the Bidder’s responsibility however, to ensure that its’ bid is received at the bid opening location.
The Project consists of brick masonry restoration, carpentry repairs to roof framing, and limited heating and ventilation work.

Electronic copies will be provided by Architect’s choice of electronic means. Bidder must contact and obtain electronic plans from the Architect to be considered registered as a plan holder. Online access will be provided to prime bidders only.
Bids shall be lump sum base bids based upon the scope of work defined in the Bidding Documents.
Each bid shall be accompanied by a cash deposit or a certified check drawn on a bank or trust company authorized to do business in North Carolina, payable to the County of Currituck, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid, as a guarantee that a contract will be entered into. In lieu of cash or a certified check, the Bidder may submit a bid bond in the form prescribed in N.C. General Statutes § 143-129.
Bidder must complete and submit with its’ bid an AIA Document A305 – 1986, Contractor’s Qualification Statement.
The Successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a performance bond and a payment bond for one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount.
No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids for a period of 60 days.
All bidders must meet the licensing requirements under Chapter 87 of the N.C. General Statutes. Small Business Entities, Women Owned Businesses and Minority Owned Businesses are encouraged to submit bids.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities, as it may deem to be in its best interest.
Pre-Bid Meeting
A Pre-Bid Meeting will be held at the site at 10:00 a.m., local time on Thursday, August 5, 2021.
Prospective prime bidders are requested to attend.
Questions
Prospective prime bidders may submit requests for clarification and interpretation to the Architect by email until 5:00 p.m., local time on Monday, August 16, 2021.
An Addendum with responses to requests for clarification and interpretation received by this date and time will be issued to prospective prime bidders by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, August 20, 2021.
