The County of Currituck is seeking proposals for the services of Yard Waste Grinding & Vegetative Debris Management. Sealed proposals shall be received until 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 10, 2015:

Proposals shall be labeled “Currituck County Yard Waste Management RFP”. Proposals received after the deadline will not be considered.
Services shall include at minimum Yard Waste Grinding Services:
- Provide mobile on-site yard waste grinding services at the Currituck County Transfer Station, 216 Maple Road, Maple, North Carolina, 27956, as needed to manage the vegetative debris;
- Remove non-organic material from the brush pile as needed. Nonorganic debris can be disposed of at the Currituck County Transfer Station;
- Manage vegetative debris pile by pushing the material back and up to keep driveways clear to the unloading sites and to keep brush pile contained;
- Grind yard waste to final product, load product and remove all material from premises;
- Clean yard waste area to soil exposure, grade as necessary to remove ruts and bumps.
The majority of the grinding will occur between October and May of each year. All material must be ground and removed before June 1 of each year (the beginning of Hurricane Season).
