Currituck County commissioners and staff will host a community meeting on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, in Corolla. The meeting will take place at the Outer Banks Center for Wildlife Education from 5:00 – 7:00 pm.
Citizens may register for the meeting at https://corollatownhall.eventbrite.com. Registration is not required but is encouraged.
The meeting will begin with a review of the Strategic Planning process by County Manager Rebecca Gay. The four focus areas of the Strategic Plan include:
- Housing
- Infrastructure
- Economic Development
- Quality of Life
Cameron Lowe, Director of the Currituck County Center for NC Cooperative Extension, will lead citizens through interactive sessions regarding the Strategic Plan. This will include facilitated discussions on the strengths, challenges, and vision for each focus area as it relates to the Corolla community and citizens will be asked to provide feedback.
Following the facilitated discussion, time will be provided for citizen comments and/or questions on topics unrelated to the Strategic Plan.
Upcoming community meetings will be held in the mid-county area, Moyock, and Knotts Island. Information for these meetings will be announced soon and citizens may attend any meeting. Anyone with questions may contact the County Manager’s Office at 252-232-2075.
