Currituck County youth have opportunities to participate in summer day camps that teach skills and knowledge related to public safety. These free camps are offered by the Currituck County Sheriff’s Office and the Fire-Emergency Medical Services Department. Instructors also include staff from other public safety agencies.

2026 YOUTH PUBLIC SAFETY SUMMER CAMP – Applications due by May 4, 2026
Camp is for youth ages 10–15 in Currituck County, designed to introduce participants to public safety careers while building leadership skills and a strong sense of community responsibility.
Camp dates:
- Monday, June 15 – Friday, June 19
- Monday, July 13 – Friday, July 17
