The Currituck County Fiscal Year 2026 Proposed Operating Budget and Capital Improvement Plan is available for public viewing here. Also available is a video of the budget presentation made to the Board of Commissioners by County Manager Rebecca Gay on May 19, 2025.
The Board of Commissioners is scheduled to conduct a Budget Hearing during its regular meeting on June 2, 2026, in the Historic Courthouse. The meeting will begin at 6:00 pm and citizens may sign up to make public comment regarding the proposed budget or any other matter of concern.
According to N.C. General Statute §159-13, the budget must be adopted by the Board of Commissioners not later than July 1, 2025.
