Aquatic plants and wildlife are important to the Albemarle Region we call home. Learning how we can help create and sustain viable habitats for plant and animal aquatic systems is key to maintaining the environmental structures that support industry and recreation.
In this workshop held on Friday, September 13, 2024 from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m., we will classify fish according to body shape and coloration. We will also learn how fish adapt to their environments, how adaptations can help fish survive in their habitats and the importance of adaptation in animals. Time permitting we will fish from the Currituck County Rural Center (CCRC) ponds and canal that leads to the Currituck sound.
The $10 fee will cover all educational and craft supplies. For ages 8-12. To register use the following link https://fashionafish.eventbrite.com
Registration is not complete until your child is enrolled in NC 4-H for the 2024 program year. The link to do that is https://v2.4honline.com/ .
