Currituck County residents are advised to stay home today and travel only if absolutely necessary. Emergency services personnel report slick and icy conditions on roads throughout the county. NC Department of Transportation crews are working in the county to clear roads but will need time.

No additional snow is expected, but Winter Weather Advisories remain in effect through midday for NENC due to blowing snow.
