Early Voting for the North Carolina Primary Election will begin on Thursday, February 12, 2026, and continue until Saturday, February 28, 2026. The early voting site in Currituck County is located in Courtroom C of the courthouse at the Governmental Center, 2801 Caratoke Highway, Currituck, NC 27929.
Hours for Early Voting:
- Monday – Friday, February 12-27: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
- Saturday, February 28: 8:00 am – 3:00 pm (This is the only Saturday for Early Voting)
Complete information for Early Voting is available from the North Carolina State Board of Elections. Reminders include:
- North Carolina voters will be asked to show photo ID when they check in to vote.
- Same-day voter registration is available. When you check in to vote at an early voting site, you may update your name or address within the same county if necessary. Individuals who are not registered to vote in a county may register and immediately vote at that same site.
The North Carolina Primary Election is scheduled for March 3, 2026. Citizens who do not vote during the Early Voting period may vote on election day at their assigned voting precinct. On election day, all voting precincts will be open 6:30 am – 7:30 pm.
