Information Technology Services

Information Technology Services (ITS) works with all County departments with regards to computer hardware/software and telephone matters. The department is responsible for helping other departments acquire new hardware and software products, as well as maintaining current equipment and software. The department also acts as the main contact for telephone equipment needs and problem resolution. All Geographic Information Systems (GIS) services are performed within the ITS department.

Responsibilities of Information Technology Services

• Purchases all computer hardware/software/peripherals and telephone systems and equipment
• Facilitates the installation, maintenance and repair of all computer hardware/software/peripherals, networks, and telephone systems
• Designs/reviews communications systems for all new construction and renovation projects
• Assists departments with technology issues
• Creates, or assists with creation of, data and distribution methods for public use
• Maintains the County’s Geographic Information Services (GIS) data
