Join us for a uniquely empowering event designed just for women where we will learn the basics of self defense from jujitsu instructor Lindsay Asbury . Start the evening with a relaxing and social cookie decorating session followed by practical self-defense techniques in a safe and supportive environment.
This is a partner class so bring a friend or your daughter. Please wear exercise clothing free of zippers, metal, and buttons. We would encourage you to wear slip on shoes and bring a water bottle. No experience necessary!
This class is perfect for all fitness levels and ages (12+). Bring a friend, enjoy some treats, and leave feeling empowered. Class will be held at the Currituck Extension Center from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 5, 2026, $5 per person.

Checks and cash payments can be received at the Currituck Extension Office located at 120 Community Way Barco, NC 27917, within 5 days of registration.
