The Citizens Self Service portal will not receive online payments for permits, utilities, or tax bills from 5:00 pm on Thursday, September 19 until 10:00 am on Monday, September 22, 2025. This is necessary for the closing of all accounting matters related to the end of the fiscal year.
Payments may be made in person on Friday, September 19, during regular business hours of 8:00 am – 5:00 pm at the following county offices:
- Utility bills: Customer service office, 2878 Caratoke Hwy, Currituck, NC, 27929
- Permits & Inspections: Located at the Historic Courthouse, 153 Courthouse Road, Currituck, NC 27929
- Tax: Located in Governmental Center Complex, 2801 Caratoke Highway, Currituck, NC 27929
