The Navy is preparing a Community Involvement Plan for its ongoing Environmental Restoration Program at Naval Support Activity Hampton Roads Northwest Annex (Northwest Annex). The Community Involvement Plan will identify community interests and describe how the Navy will communicate with the public about its ongoing environmental cleanup activities.
Citizens are invited to participate by completing a brief questionnaire by August 29, 2025.

Background:
The Community Involvement Plan is being completed as part of the Navy’s ongoing Environmental Restoration Program, which focuses on investigating and addressing the environmental impacts of past spills, leaks, or historic disposal practices that are no longer acceptable under today’s environmental regulations.
The Navy implements the Environmental Restoration Program in partnership with the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality (VDEQ).
