Currituck County employees will participate in the 2025 NCDOT Litter Sweep by picking up trash along roads in front of county facilities. The county’s plans include cleaning up along Maple Road near the Detention Center and Mainland water treatment plant, and along Shortcut Road near the Currituck Regional Airport and Community Park. Staff will also pick up trash on Courthouse Road in Currituck and from in from of the Governmental Center Complex on Hwy. 168.
Community groups are encouraged to also participate during the Litter Sweep campaign, which runs from April 12-26, and help clean up neighborhoods throughout the county.
