Currituck County 4-H is conducting a series of programs called Discover 4-H. These programs will be held once a month on Friday evenings from 5:30-7:30 p.m. for youth ages 5-10, at the North Carolina Cooperative Extension office located at 120 Community Way, Barco North Carolina.
The Discover 4-H series is an exciting collection of hands-on activities that spark curiosity and ignite a passion for learning in young minds. Packed with fun and interactive lessons, this program introduces youth to a wide range of topics—from science and technology to arts, agriculture, and community service.
Each activity is designed to develop key life skills like leadership, teamwork, and critical thinking, all while staying true to 4-H’s core values of:
- Head,
- Heart,
- Hands,
- Health.
With Discover 4-H, kids don’t just learn—they dive into real-world experiences that inspire growth, creativity, and a lifelong love for exploration.

There is a registration fee of $5.00 for each session. Payment can be made with a credit card via Eventbrite, cash, or check payable to NCSU. Checks and cash can be delivered to the Currituck Extension Office at 120 Community Way, Barco, North Carolina, 27917 within 5 days of registration.
All participants must also be enrolled in 4-H Online for the 2024 program year; the link to that portion of the registration process is v2.4honline.com/
