Currituck County has restored water service along Edgewater Drive in Grandy, between 100 and 114, following a disruption caused by a broken water line. During periods of low or no pressure, there is an increased risk of back siphonage and the possible introduction of bacteria into the water system.
However, a Boil Water Advisory is now in effect for the following streets:
- Marlin
- Perch
- Flounder
- Croaker
- Drum
- Barracuda
All residents in the affected area are advised to boil water used for:
- Drinking
- Cooking
- Brushing teeth
- Making ice
- Washing hands
Use bottled water or bring tap water to a vigorous boil for at least one (1) minute before using it for any human consumption. Boiling will help eliminate any potential disease-causing organisms that may be present.
This advisory remains in effect until 6:00 p.m., Friday, September 26, 2025.
