Sheriff Matthew W. Beickert is excited to announce that the Currituck County Sheriff’s Office is now accepting applications for the 2023 Sheriff’s Summer Camp. As a community stakeholder, Sheriff Beickert utilizes School Resource Officers to provide life enrichment, career enrichment, and build positive relationships between Law Enforcement Officers and Currituck County youth.

The Summer Camp is open to all Currituck County youth residents.

Be sure to apply early, there is a limited number of campers being accepted for each camp. Applicants will be accepted on a first come first serve basis. New applicants will take priority over previous camp participants.

Camp Date – 2 Week Camp

There is NO fee to attend summer camp.

High/Middle School Summer Camp

Week #1: Monday, July 17 – Thursday, July 20, 2023
Week #2: Monday, July 24 – Thursday, July 27, 2023
Time: 8:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Focus: High/Middle School Hybrid Camp for High School students with some middle school students being assigned.

Middle School Summer Camp

Camp #1
Week #1: Monday, July 31 – Thursday, August 3, 2023
Week #2: Monday, August 7 – Thursday, August 10, 2023
Time: 8:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Focus: 6th-8th grade Middle School students.

Camp #2
Week #1: Monday, August 14 – Thursday, August 17, 2023
Week #2: Monday, August 21 – Thursday, August 24, 2023
Time: 8:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Focus: 6th-8th grade Middle School students.
