Sheriff offers student art contest

The Currituck County Sheriff’s Office is accepting original drawings for a free art contest among local elementary school students. A K-9 drawing contest is now open for students in kindergarten to 3rd grade to enter a drawing of a Sheriff K-9 dog.

Each student who enters a drawing will receive a Currituck County Sheriff’s Office sticker. Winners of each grade will receive a K-9 patch. All drawings will be displayed and judged by the Sheriff’s K-9 units.

The deadline to enter a drawing is Feb. 24. All entries should be turned in to the school principal or resource officer. For more information, contact the Currituck County Sheriff’s Office at 252-453-8204.
