Holiday parade and tree lighting
Currituck County will celebrate the holiday season on Friday, December 1 with the annual holiday parade and tree lighting ceremony in Community Park. The theme for this year is “Your Favorite Holiday Flix”.
Events begin at 5:30 pm with Reindeer Games, for children and families to enjoy holiday-themed activities and free cookies. The tree lighting will be held at 6:30 pm next to the Cooperative Extension facility and the parade will begin at 7:00 pm. Guests are invited to bring a chair or blanket to use as they watch the parade.
For those who cannot attend in person, the tree lighting and parade will be available to watch via live-stream on the Currituck Extension YouTube channel. Visit: https://www.youtube.com/c/CurrituckCES, subscribe, and ring the bell to be notified when the event goes live on December 1.
Anyone interested in participating in the holiday parade must complete the entry form at https://forms.gle/NWS2ueWvpnDxvv34A. The Holiday Parade is organized by The Currituck Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #89 and NC Cooperative Extension, Currituck County Center.
