This summer, Currituck County will completely replace the playground located at Knotts Island Ruritan Park. Crews will begin removing the old playground equipment on Wednesday, July 7. This phase of the project should be completed by Friday, July 16. Citizens are asked to avoid this area and to not let children play on or near any old equipment.

The project schedule calls for installation of the new playground equipment to be done during the week of Aug. 9 – 13, weather permitting.
