Chamber donation supports seniors’ meal delivery

The Currituck Senior Nutrition Program received a generous donation from the Currituck Chamber of Commerce to help support home delivery of meals to local senior citizens.  A donation of $1,253.78 was raised during the Chamber’s Spring Social event and was presented to the Senior Nutrition Program on July 24, 2019.

The Home Delivered Meals Program, also known as Meals on Wheels, provides a nutritious daily meal for senior citizens who are unable to cook or shop for groceries themselves. This program benefits many elderly residents of Currituck County and welcomes new volunteers to make the meal deliveries. If you would like to learn more or volunteer, contact the Currituck Senior Center at 252-232-3505.
