TAKE NOTICE that Currituck County, North Carolina, (the “County”), proposes to appropriate and expend County funds for the following economic development project pursuant to N. C. Gen. Stat. §158-7.1.  The County Board of Commissioners intends to consider entering into an economic development incentives contract with Buffalo City Distillery, LLC. 

Under the contract, the County will make an economic development incentive grant in the amount of $14,305.00 funded from the County’s General Fund.  The County Board of Commissioners believes that the project will stimulate and stabilize the local economy and provide new, permanent jobs in the County.

The County Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing on the County’s proposed appropriation and expenditure of funds for the Buffalo City Distillery, LLC project at 6:00 p.m., or as soon as the matter is reached, on Monday, August 5, 2019, in the Commissioners’ Meeting Room in the Historic Currituck Courthouse at which time and place all interested persons may present their views.
