This August, N.C. Cooperative Extension Currituck County Center will offer 2 opportunities to receive pesticide credits for private pesticide applicator license holders. Both classes will be held at the Extension office in Barco. Beginning with the Currituck County “V” Credit Training, which will be held on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. and will cover:
- water quality,
- pesticide resistance,
- and label updates.
This class offers 2 “V” credits required for all private applicators.
Then, on Friday, August 13, 2021, we’ll offer 2 hours of N, O, D, & X credits in our Wheat Production Meeting. This meeting will be held from 8:00-10:00 a.m. and we’ll cover small grain research updates by Dr. Angela Post. If there are specific topics you’d like covered, please call Adam Formella at 252- 232-2261. Due to current Covid-19 restrictions, food will not be provided at either meeting.
Currently, masks are not required for in person classes, but are encouraged for unvaccinated individuals. Please be aware this could change in light of changing state or local Covid-19 mandates.
