After two years the Society will have their Annual Dinner meeting on Monday April 18, 2022 at Rehoboth Baptist Church on Maple Road.
The speaker will be the newly appointed Dr. Darin Waters, Associate Secretary of Department of Cultural and Natural Resources and the head of the Department of Archives and History. Dr. Waters will talk about the celebration of the 250th Anniversary of the Country and bring us up to date on what is going on across the state historically.
All our meetings are open to the public.
A special night is planned with at least one surprise. Currituck BBQ will cater the meal. The dinner will cost $15.00. We will have Chicken cordon Blue with 3 sides as well as dessert. If you need a special plate let us know. We will start serving at 6:45. The program will start at 7:30.
Please call the officers to make a reservation:
- Shelia Tyler – 252-232-2762
- Barbara Snowden – 252-619-6991

The Historical Society will sponsor the laying of a wreath at the Knapp Memorial on Thursday, May 26, 2022 at 11:00 a.m.
The Historical Commission is up and running and we will have a report on that and the jail stabilization is on track.
Remember that the membership runs from dinner meeting to dinner meeting. The dues are $25.00 per person/$35 for families and you may pay at the meeting. This is our main source of funds for the year.
