NO REFUNDS. If we postpone due to rain and weather a rescheduled rain date will be Sunday, November 6. Please use your November 5 ticket as your ticket for November 6 (rain date) if we reschedule.

Once you purchase a ticket, you will be taken to a confirmation page. From there you can send the ticket again to your email and or your phone via text. Also after completion, you will get an automatic confirmation email which contains the link to the ticket. Attendees will need to bring that ticket either by paper or a digital copy to the event. Your QR code will be scanned for entry.

2022 People’s Choice BBQ Competition – SOLD OUT

All Kanas City Barbeque Society (KCBS) teams as well as all local BBQ restaurants have been invited to participate in this year’s People’s Choice. The tickets are $10 per person to sample and vote on your favorite BBQ and your favorite side. People can sample a 2 ounce sample of each BBQ and a sample of each side. Once they have sampled all the BBQ and sides, they get to vote. We will crown a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winner for the “Best BBQ” & “Best Fixin.” Winners Announced at 4:00 p.m.

The People’s Choice Contest benefits our 4-H Pack Backs for Kids, our local non-profit carrying out their mission to: Provide Currituck’s school-aged children with the necessities to enhance the total school experience and ensure they reach their full potential with dignity and respect.

Other Event Activities | 12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

The Anything Goes Craft Market and fun family festivities are from noon-3:00 p.m. with the rodeo starting at 3:00 p.m.

The musician this year is Glen Shelton. We will have some awesome local food vendors.

Parents may sign their children up for the Mutton Bustin’ portion of the rodeo beginning at 3:00 p.m. pm on site at the event.  The child must weigh 65 pounds or less. These spots are limited, and it is first come, first served.  A ticket to the rodeo is required  in order to sign up for Mutton Bustin’
